A dynamic school is seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher for its secondary provision, offering a range of contract options from daily supply and short term to long term and permanent positions, with an immediate start available. This crucial role involves delivering an expertly adapted curriculum to pupils with complex learning needs within supportive small group settings, fostering an inclusive and empowering learning environment for every pupil. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored for pupils with complex learning needs.
* Create and maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Assess pupil progress systematically, providing timely and constructive feedback to inform future teaching.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals.
* Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring pupil targets are ambitious and achievable.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school community, upholding its values and ethos.
About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a genuine passion for Special Educational Needs.
* You have demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged pupils with complex learning needs.
* You exhibit excellent classroom management strategies and the ability to inspire diverse learners.
* You are skilled in adapting curriculum content to meet a wide range of individual requirements.
* You communicate clearly and empathetically with pupils, parents, and colleagues alike.
