Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a primary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Develop a trusting and positive relationship with the pupil to encourage engagement and learning.
* Effectively implement personalised targets and strategies outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Liaise consistently with specialist therapists and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support programme.
* Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the pupil's individual pace and preferred learning styles.
* Monitor and accurately record the pupil's daily progress and achievements, contributing to ongoing assessments.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting children with complex special educational needs in a primary setting.
* Demonstrate prior experience in a 1:1 support role, particularly with pupils experiencing ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Exhibit exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external specialists.
* Show a proactive, patient, and resilient approach to challenges, always seeking positive outcomes.
* Be committed to continuous professional development and refining your practice.
* Hold relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in supporting children with SEN.
