In a supportive school setting, we are seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to inspire primary-aged pupils with special educational needs. This pivotal role involves leading small groups of pupils, each supported by an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), through a thoughtfully adapted national curriculum. You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to foster a holistic and nurturing learning environment for every child. We have opportunities for immediate starts on a range of contracts, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to small groups of primary pupils with SEN.
* Skillfully adapt the national curriculum to meet diverse learning requirements.
* Develop and review individualised learning plans in alignment with EHCP objectives.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Establish strong, communicative partnerships with families to support pupil development.
* Contribute proactively to the school's warm and inclusive educational ethos.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for special educational needs education.
* Demonstrate experience working effectively with primary pupils who have diverse learning requirements.
* Show a commitment to creating inclusive and stimulating learning environments.
* Exhibit excellent communication skills for engaging with pupils, colleagues, and families.
* Be adept at adapting teaching methodologies to cater to individual pupil needs.
