We are seeking a dedicated Head of Technology (Maternity Cover) for a mainstream secondary school in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. This is a one-year fixed-term role, starting in September, offering a competitive salary paid to scale along with additional Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR).
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Technology and Textiles departments to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement innovative schemes of work and enrichment activities.
• Support and mentor staff within the department to achieve their professional goals.
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align departmental objectives with school-wide goals.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
About You:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in leading a Technology department.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in Textiles and Technology education.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
• Passion for educational development and student success.
