Dunbar Education is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Head of PE for a mainstream secondary school located in Slough, Berkshire. This is a permanent position commencing in September, offering a competitive salary paid to scale plus a TLR payment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Physical Education department, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Develop and implement a progressive PE curriculum across all key stages.
• Inspire students to participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
• Oversee the organisation and delivery of extracurricular sports clubs and competitions.
• Manage departmental resources and budget effectively.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for PE staff.
About You:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Demonstrate a passion for Physical Education and a commitment to student well-being.
• Possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Have a proven track record of effective teaching and curriculum development in PE.
• Be able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
• Experience in leading a team would be advantageous.
