We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a well-established school on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for a supportive start, or an experienced educator seeking a new challenge at Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS). You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons across the secondary curriculum, inspiring pupils with a passion for discovery and understanding. The successful candidate can commence this long-term role in September or potentially sooner.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver dynamic, well-structured science lessons across various key stages.
* Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and review of the science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
* Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
* Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* Possess a strong subject knowledge in at least one science specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for science and an ability to convey its excitement to young learners.
* Exhibit excellent classroom management skills, fostering a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
* Show a proactive approach to professional growth and collaboration within a team.
