Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring continuity of learning across diverse subjects, stepping in to supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher. This dynamic role involves maintaining excellent classroom management and supporting secondary-aged pupils in their independent study, contributing directly to the daily rhythm and success of our educational provision. You will be a visible and valued presence, helping to uphold the school’s commitment to academic progress and student well-being.
Key Responsibilities
• Effectively supervise classes, ensuring a productive and safe learning atmosphere.
• Deliver pre-set work, providing clear instructions to pupils and encouraging engagement.
• Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies, promoting respect and good conduct.
• Respond promptly to any immediate issues or emergencies that may arise during lessons.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture for all students.
• Liaise with teaching staff and administration regarding pupil progress and any concerns.

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with young people.
