About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join a forward-thinking school in a rewarding long-term capacity, with immediate start available. This crucial position involves providing specialised, dedicated support to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or sensory impairments. You will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive learning environment, helping to unlock the pupil's potential and celebrating their progress every day.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide highly individualised 1:1 support, adapting to the specific learning and developmental needs of the pupil.
* Assist in the successful implementation of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, both within and outside the classroom.
* Build and maintain a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, ensuring their comfort and engagement throughout the school day.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support strategy.
* Encourage the pupil's communication, social interaction, and participation in various activities.
* Support the pupil's personal care needs and promote their independence in daily routines where appropriate.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting children with complex special educational needs, including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* An empathetic and patient approach is essential, coupled with strong resilience and a proactive attitude.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills, capable of connecting effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
* A genuine passion for making a significant difference in a child's educational journey drives your practice.
* You are a highly organised individual, able to manage responsibilities efficiently and adapt to changing situations.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children is paramount in your professional conduct.
