About the Role
A dedicated school is seeking an empathetic and skilled PMLD Support Assistant to join their specialist primary provision on a long-term, permanent basis. This vital role involves providing dedicated support to pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, fostering their development within a nurturing educational environment. You will be instrumental in enabling students to achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored, direct support to primary-aged pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Assist pupils with personal care needs sensitively and professionally.
* Plan and facilitate engaging sensory stimulation activities for individual and small groups.
* Implement individualised therapy programmes consistently under professional guidance.
* Contribute actively to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Monitor and accurately record pupil progress and observations for the class teacher.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Exhibit a compassionate, patient, and highly resilient approach to all aspects of the role.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
* Apply a proactive and adaptable mindset to meet diverse pupil needs.
* Show a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Hold an understanding of various communication methods relevant to PMLD pupils.
