Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes during short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, upholding school behaviour policies.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting respect and engagement among pupils.
• Respond to student queries and provide support to facilitate independent learning.
• Report any significant issues or concerns regarding student conduct or wellbeing to relevant staff.
• Collect completed work and ensure the classroom is left in a tidy and organised state.
About You
• Possess previous experience working with young people in an educational setting.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with students and staff.
• Exhibit strong classroom management abilities, maintaining a calm and authoritative presence.
• Be proactive and adaptable, comfortable supporting learning across a range of subjects.
