1:1 SEN Support Assistant

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join a well-established school within the primary phase. We are seeking an empathetic individual to provide bespoke and dedicated support to a pupil with complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. The role requires building strong rapport and commitment to implementing EHCP targets, collaborating closely with external therapists. This position offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, or a permanent placement, with an immediate start available, paying between £85 and £110 per day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively and consistently.
* Build and maintain a strong, positive rapport with the pupil to foster trust and engagement.
* Liaise regularly and constructively with a range of therapists and professionals.
* Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment tailored to the pupil's specific requirements.
* Monitor and accurately record the pupil's progress, adapting strategies as necessary to support their development.
About You
* Possess significant experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment.
* Demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in a fast-paced educational setting.
* Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective liaison with all stakeholders.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and resourceful, thriving in a supportive team environment.
* Show a genuine commitment to the holistic development and well-being of every child.
* Be eligible to work in the UK and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
