Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across adapted curriculum areas for secondary students with complex SEN.
* Adapt teaching strategies swiftly to meet the evolving individual learning plans and diverse needs of various classroom settings.
* Effectively manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe, positive, and productive learning atmosphere for all pupils.
* Collaborate seamlessly with support staff, colleagues, and other professionals to uphold a holistic approach to student welfare and progress.
* Provide constructive feedback on student achievement and progress, contributing to ongoing assessment processes and record-keeping.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, engagement, and any significant observations in accordance with school policies.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged students with special educational needs.
* Exhibit exceptional adaptability and resilience, thriving in diverse, fast-paced educational environments.
* Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive and professional relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Show a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and can achieve their potential.
* Be proficient in implementing a range of specialist teaching strategies and interventions to support varied SEN profiles.
* Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one promptly.
