A flourishing school in the heart of Bedfordshire is actively seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for its specialist provision. This vital role focuses on providing comprehensive support to secondary-aged pupils with diverse and complex needs, fostering their academic and personal development. You will play a crucial part in assisting with the delivery of an adapted curriculum, cultivating an inclusive learning environment, and actively promoting greater independence for every student. We are looking for individuals available for flexible contracts, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, or permanent positions, with an immediate start, offering competitive rates of £90-£115 per day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary-aged pupils facing a variety of complex Special Educational Needs.
* Assist classroom teachers in the effective implementation of an adapted curriculum designed for individual learning.
* Proactively encourage and facilitate pupils' independence, self-help skills, and personal growth.
* Support students in both one-to-one settings and small group activities within a specialist educational environment.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive, safe, and highly stimulating atmosphere conducive to learning for all.
* Aid in the organisation of classroom resources and the preparation of bespoke learning materials when required.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with complex requirements.
* Exhibit a compassionate and patient demeanour, coupled with a deep understanding of student challenges.
