About the Role
A inclusive school is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled ASD Support Assistant to join its dedicated team. This vital role involves providing specialist support to primary-aged pupils on the autism spectrum within a nurturing provision. You will be instrumental in implementing structured routines, sensory strategies, and communication support tailored to individual pupil needs. We offer a range of flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent opportunities. An immediate start is available for the right candidate within the Berkshire area.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Implement effective communication aids and strategies to facilitate understanding and expression.
* Assist with the development and consistent application of individualised learning plans and targets.
* Manage and adapt sensory environments to promote pupil engagement and reduce anxieties.
* Support pupils in developing social interaction skills and emotional regulation.
* Encourage independence and positive behaviour through proactive strategies and consistent reinforcement.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting primary pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* A strong understanding of various sensory needs and effective communication strategies is essential.
* Your approach is characterised by patience, empathy
