About the Role
A highly regarded school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning for its pupils. This vital position involves overseeing classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their work and continue to thrive in a supportive educational environment. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive and productive atmosphere across various subjects and year groups, contributing directly to the smooth daily operation of the school. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people's education and ready to make a significant impact within our vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain focused and on task.
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour, upholding the school’s high standards for conduct and respect.
• Deliver pre-prepared work to pupils, explaining instructions clearly and facilitating independent study.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment conducive to pupil progress.
• Provide general assistance and guidance to pupils regarding their learning activities.
• Report any significant issues, incidents, or achievements to the appropriate member of staff.

About You
• You possess demonstrable experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• You exhibit strong classroom management skills and the ability to command respect.
• You are proactive, adaptable, and capable of thinking on your feet in a dynamic environment.
• You have excellent verbal communication skills, able to convey instructions clearly and engage pupils effectively.
• You are reliable, punctual, and committed to upholding professional standards at all times.
• You are passionate about contributing to the educational journey and development of pupils.
