Key Responsibilities
* Implement tailored structured routines and sensory strategies to support individual pupil needs effectively.
* Provide attentive 1:1 and small group communication support, encouraging pupil expression and understanding.
* Assist in creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt support plans.
* Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times, ensuring a safe and engaging experience.
* Contribute to the positive behaviour management of pupils, utilising agreed strategies consistently.
About You
* You possess proven experience supporting primary pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within an educational setting.
* A strong understanding of various sensory processing needs and effective communication strategies is essential.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when facing daily challenges.
* Your commitment to fostering the holistic development and well-being of every child is paramount.
* You are a proactive team player, capable of building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Relevant qualifications in supporting learning or special educational needs are highly desirable.
