Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support to secondary students with ASD.
* Actively facilitate the development of social communication skills among pupils.
* Implement strategies to effectively manage individual sensory needs within the learning environment.
* Assist students in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to develop and adapt learning materials.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student well-being.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs, particularly autism.
* Demonstrate previous experience working with secondary-aged students on the autism spectrum.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with students and colleagues.
* Show a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to daily challenges and individual student needs.
* Be proactive and adaptable, able to respond effectively to diverse learning styles and behaviours.
* Hold a commitment to continuous professional development in the field of SEN.
