We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking school community. This permanent, long-term position begins in September 2026, offering an exciting opportunity for an ECT, MPS, or UPS level educator. The successful candidate will be paid to scale and play a vital role in shaping creative minds within a vibrant secondary setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver creative and challenging Design & Technology lessons across the secondary age range.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
* Cultivate an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to explore their potential.
* Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and curriculum resources.
* Uphold high standards of health and safety within the DT workshops and teaching spaces.
* Actively participate in departmental meetings and wider school community events.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for Design & Technology and its power to engage and educate young people.
* Possess the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities, fostering a love for design and practical skills.
* Exhibit excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a productive and respectful learning atmosphere.
* Be committed to continuous professional development and personal growth within the teaching profession.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, thriving as part of a collaborative team.
