About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will facilitate engaging classroom sessions during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain focused and productive. Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes across various subjects in the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour, upholding the school’s behavioural policies.
• Ensure students are on task and engaged with the pre-set work provided.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
• Respond promptly to any immediate issues or emergencies that may arise in the classroom.
• Liaise with teaching staff and the wider school team regarding student progress or concerns.

About You
• Proven experience working with young people in an educational setting.
• Demonstrable ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain discipline effectively.
• Highly adaptable and able to quickly establish rapport with students.
• Proactive, reliable, and possessing a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive interactions.
• A genuine commitment to supporting student learning and well-being.
