A highly regarded school in the Buckingham area is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their dedicated team immediately. This pivotal role involves overseeing classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring a productive and safe learning environment for secondary pupils. You will be instrumental in maintaining educational continuity across various subjects, fostering positive behaviour, and upholding the school's high standards. Opportunities exist for daily supply, short-term assignments, or even a long-term/permanent contract for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage classroom dynamics and pupil behaviour in accordance with school policies.
* Deliver pre-prepared work to secondary pupils, ensuring all tasks are completed to a good standard.
* Provide clear instructions and support to pupils, facilitating their learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Maintain a stimulating and orderly learning environment, promoting pupil engagement and respect.
* Accurately record and report on pupil attendance and any significant incidents during lessons.
* Liaise effectively with teaching staff and the wider school community regarding cover arrangements.
About You
* You possess previous experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* Your behaviour management skills are exceptional, fostering a respectful and productive classroom atmosphere.
* You are highly adaptable and proactive, capable of responding effectively to diverse classroom situations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport with pupils and staff.
