About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school located within a thriving community in Bedfordshire, East of England. This vital role involves maintaining a productive and positive learning environment for students in the absence of their regular teacher. We offer a range of flexible contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £145 to £160, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes during short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task with set work.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
* Respond to student queries and provide support to keep them engaged with learning activities.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents, reporting these to the appropriate staff.
* Uphold the school's high standards for student conduct and academic expectations.
* Support the overall learning environment, fostering a culture of mutual respect and diligence.

About You
* Possess strong classroom management skills with a calm and authoritative presence.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with young people.
* Be adaptable and resilient, capable of thriving in a busy secondary school environment.
* Show a genuine passion for supporting student development and fostering a positive learning experience.
* Hold a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
* Have previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary setting.
