A thriving school is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide specialist support for secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a crucial role within a specialist provision, assisting pupils with behaviour support, emotional regulation, and their successful reintegration into learning. We are looking for individuals available for an immediate start, with a variety of contract options including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent roles, offering a competitive daily rate between £95 and £120.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement effective strategies to support pupils with complex SEMH needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for secondary pupils.
* Assist pupils in developing essential emotional regulation and coping mechanisms.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to facilitate reintegration into the mainstream curriculum.
* Provide consistent behaviour support tailored to individual pupil requirements.
* Monitor and report on pupil progress and overall well-being.
About You
* Possess proven experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
* Exhibit a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to daily challenges.
* Able to inspire and motivate pupils towards positive engagement and personal growth.
* Proactive in adapting support strategies to diverse individual needs.
* Committed to promoting a safe and supportive educational environment for all.
