About the Role
A highly regarded school in the thriving county of Berkshire is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide immediate, long-term support for a secondary pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves delivering personalised assistance, fostering engagement, and facilitating access to the curriculum within a supportive learning environment. You will play a crucial part in the pupil's daily progress, working closely with staff to implement tailored strategies.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct 1:1 support to a secondary pupil, addressing their specific complex needs.
* Implement and monitor Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil's access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Encourage the development of essential independence and life skills.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for the pupil.

About You
* Proven experience supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs, ideally in a secondary setting.
* A deep understanding of EHCPs and their practical application.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting individual learning journeys.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
* A genuine passion for fostering pupil development and celebrating achievements.
