About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated PMLD Support Assistant to join a well-established school based in Reading, Berkshire. This long-term, permanent position offers an immediate start, providing vital support within a specialist primary SEN provision for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive educational experience, making a tangible difference to young lives every day. Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Assist pupils with personal care needs, maintaining dignity and promoting independence.
* Implement engaging sensory stimulation programmes designed to enhance learning and development.
* Support the delivery of individual therapy programmes, collaborating closely with specialist staff.
* Work effectively as an integral part of the classroom team, contributing to a stimulating learning environment.
* Accurately record pupil progress and contribute to review meetings as required.

About You
* You possess previous experience supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to pupil welfare is essential.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuinely nurturing approach.
* The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents is paramount.
* You are a proactive team player who can adapt to varying needs and situations.
* A relevant qualification in SEN support or childcare is highly desirable.
