About the Role
An exceptional school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial assistance to a secondary-aged pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves delivering tailored support to facilitate the pupil's access to the curriculum, working diligently to achieve specific Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. We are looking for an individual ready to foster independence and cultivate essential life skills, making a profound difference to the pupil's educational journey and overall development. Opportunities for long-term, daily supply, or permanent engagement are available, with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated and consistent 1:1 support to a secondary pupil.
* Implement strategies tailored to a pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Work proactively to achieve individualised targets outlined in the EHCP.
* Facilitate the pupil’s meaningful access to the broader secondary curriculum.
* Actively promote the pupil's growing independence across all school activities.
* Assist in the development and practice of valuable life skills.

About You
* Demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs.
* Possess a genuine commitment to providing empathetic and effective 1:1 assistance.
* Understanding of and experience working with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* A patient, resilient, and highly adaptable approach to diverse learning requirements.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a school environment.
* A strong desire to empower young people and celebrate their achievements.
