This challenging role involves delivering engaging Biology lessons across the secondary key stages, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the subject in all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver innovative Biology lessons that challenge and motivate pupils across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
* Cultivate a stimulating and supportive learning environment where every pupil can achieve their full potential.
* Assess pupil progress rigorously, providing constructive feedback to drive academic improvement.
* Contribute actively to the development and implementation of a rich and diverse Science curriculum.
* Participate fully in departmental meetings, school events, and the wider school community.
* Uphold the highest standards of teaching and learning, ensuring a positive impact on pupil outcomes.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and hold a relevant degree in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline.
* You demonstrate a proven ability to deliver exceptional teaching and learning experiences in Biology, suitable for ECTs, MPS, or UPS.
* You are deeply committed to fostering a love for science and unlocking the academic potential of all pupils.
* You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* You are proactive, resilient, and dedicated to your ongoing professional development within a collaborative team.
