About the Role
A thriving school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join its vibrant secondary team on a long-term, permanent contract from September 2026. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective DT lessons across the secondary curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
* Plan and prepare innovative schemes of work that challenge and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
* Maintain a stimulating and safe classroom environment conducive to practical learning and creative exploration.
* Contribute to the development of extra-curricular DT activities and projects, enriching the student experience.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance overall departmental provision.

About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality education.
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for all aspects of Design and Technology.
* Be an outstanding classroom practitioner, capable of engaging diverse learners and fostering their creativity.
* Show commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere where every student feels valued.
* Have the ability to motivate students and encourage their technical skills development and critical thinking.
* Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), experienced Main Pay Scale (MPS) teachers, and Upper Pay Scale (UPS) teachers.
