About the Role
A truly exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Biology Teacher to join a progressive school on a long-term, permanent contract, commencing in September 2026. This pivotal secondary role involves delivering engaging and inspiring Biology lessons across various key stages, contributing to a thriving Science department. You will be instrumental in fostering a deep understanding and passion for scientific discovery among pupils, ensuring high academic standards are maintained. The successful candidate will be paid to scale, reflecting their experience and commitment.

Key Responsibilities
* Delivering high-quality, engaging Biology lessons to secondary pupils across all abilities.
* Planning and preparing comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans for the Biology curriculum.
* Assessing, monitoring, and recording pupil progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of a dynamic Science department curriculum.
* Maintaining a stimulating and safe learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic rigour.
* Participating in departmental meetings, extra-curricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Biology or a related scientific field.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for Biology and the ability to inspire secondary pupils.
* Have experience teaching Biology across various key stages, welcoming applications from ECTs to UPS.
* Exhibit excellent classroom management skills, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
* Be committed to continuous professional development and personal growth within the teaching profession.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues and parents.
