Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils identified with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly and constructively.
* Mentor individual pupils, fostering resilience and positive coping mechanisms.
* Develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils, promoting their emotional well-being and engagement.
* Assist the class teacher in creating and adapting learning resources to meet diverse needs.
* Contribute to the assessment and tracking of pupil progress, reporting observations accurately.
About You
* Demonstrable experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
* Possess a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable pupils.
* Skilled in de-escalation techniques and proactive behaviour management strategies.
* An exceptional ability to build rapport and establish positive, professional relationships swiftly.
