About the Role

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, adhering to school policies and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
• Facilitate learning by providing support and clarity on tasks, without teaching new concepts.
• Communicate any significant issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or welfare to the appropriate staff member.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any incidents during lessons.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students under your supervision throughout the school day.

About You
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging positively with young people.
• Demonstrate a proactive and adaptable approach to managing varied classroom situations.
• Hold a strong commitment to supporting student learning and maintaining a productive educational environment.
• Exhibit confidence and authority in managing groups of secondary-aged pupils.
• Be highly organised, reliable, and able to follow instructions accurately.
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people is highly desirable.
