About the Role
Join a forward-thinking school seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to provide specialist support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum. This vital role involves working within a dedicated provision, implementing structured routines, tailored sensory strategies, and effective communication support to foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. We are open to discussing various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, offering flexibility to suit the right candidate. This is an immediate start opportunity, supporting pupils' development and progress every day.

Key Responsibilities
* Implement structured routines and visual schedules to support pupil predictability and engagement.
* Deliver tailored sensory strategies and interventions to meet individual pupil needs effectively.
* Facilitate effective communication using a range of appropriate tools and techniques.
* Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for pupils with ASD.
* Support pupils' academic and social development under the guidance of class teachers and SENCO.
* Promote positive behaviour and foster independence within the specialist provision.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* You demonstrate a strong understanding of effective communication methods and sensory strategies for ASD.
* You are patient, empathetic, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
* You can work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* You are committed to promoting the well-being and academic progress of every pupil.
* You are adaptable and proactive in responding to diverse learning requirements.
