We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Supply Teacher to join a flourishing school, providing essential cover across our specialised secondary SEN provision. This vital role involves delivering engaging lessons across adapted curriculum areas, supporting pupils with a diverse range of special educational needs on a daily supply and short-term basis. You will become an integral part of our supportive educational community, stepping in to ensure continuity of learning and a positive classroom experience for all pupils from an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver planned lessons effectively to pupils with various special educational needs.
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual pupil requirements and learning styles.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
* Manage classroom behaviour positively, employing strategies suitable for SEN settings.
* Collaborate effectively with support staff to maximise pupil engagement and progress.
* Provide clear and constructive feedback on pupil progress where required.
About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess relevant teaching experience.
* You demonstrate a proven ability to teach and support pupils within a secondary SEN environment.
* You have excellent classroom management skills, capable of fostering a calm and productive atmosphere.
* You are highly adaptable and resilient, thriving in varied school settings and situations.
* You possess strong communication skills, engaging effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
