We are seeking a passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join a dedicated school in the South East. This long-term, permanent opportunity is available for a September start, or sooner for the right candidate, within our vibrant secondary phase. You will inspire students through creative and practical lessons, fostering their skills in design and making.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver inspiring Design and Technology lessons across the secondary curriculum.
* Develop engaging schemes of work that challenge and motivate pupils.
* Effectively assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.
* Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating workshop environment.
* Actively contribute to the wider departmental and school community.
* Encourage creativity and problem-solving skills in all learners.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking their first role.
* Demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge across various Design and Technology specialisms.
* Exhibit a genuine passion for inspiring young people in practical and creative subjects.
* Show a commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices.
* Have excellent classroom management skills, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
* Be a collaborative team player, keen to contribute positively to departmental success.
