About the Role
A progressive school in East London is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join its supportive team, playing a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning across various subjects. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vibrant educational environment, ensuring students remain engaged and productive during the absence of their regular teachers. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere, facilitating smooth delivery of pre-prepared lessons and supporting student achievement.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise students in the classroom, ensuring they remain on task with pre-set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, upholding school policies and promoting a positive learning environment.
• Respond to student queries and provide appropriate guidance to support their understanding of tasks.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of lesson delivery and student progress.
• Report any issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or learning to relevant staff members.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and engagement during cover lessons.
