Join a thriving school in the East Midlands seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to inspire primary-aged pupils with diverse learning needs. This challenging and rewarding opportunity involves leading a small class of pupils, each with an Education, Health and Care Plan, and skilfully adapting the national curriculum to ensure every child achieves their potential. You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, with flexible contract options ranging from daily supply to permanent placements starting ASAP, offering a competitive daily rate of £150 - £250.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver highly individualised lessons for small groups of primary-aged pupils with EHCPs.
* Strategically adapt and differentiate the national curriculum to meet specific learning objectives and needs.
* Cultivate a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and progress.
* Collaborate effectively with a dedicated team of teaching assistants to maximise pupil support.
* Liaise proactively with on-site therapists and external professionals to integrate therapeutic interventions into daily learning.
* Build strong, positive relationships with families, providing regular updates and involving them in their child's educational journey.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for Special Educational Needs education.
* You have demonstrable experience, whether as an Early Career Teacher or an experienced professional (MPS/UPS), working with primary-aged pupils with EHCPs.
* You are adept at designing creative and differentiated learning experiences across a broad primary curriculum.
* You thrive on the challenge of supporting pupils with complex needs to make significant progress.
* You are an exceptional communicator, skilled at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families.
* You are resilient, empathetic, and committed to advocating for every child's unique learning journey.
