A well-established school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to enrich the lives of primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs. This challenging yet incredibly rewarding opportunity involves providing essential 1:1 and small group support to children holding Education, Health and Care Plans, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. We offer a range of flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent roles, with a competitive daily rate between £90 and £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans.
* Implementing diverse strategies to facilitate learning for children with ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering social-emotional development effectively.
* Collaborating closely with class teachers and external professionals to enhance educational outcomes.
* Creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that celebrates individual progress.
About You
* Proven experience supporting primary-aged children with complex Special Educational Needs.
* A comprehensive understanding of various learning difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language impairments.
* Exceptional patience, resilience, and a genuinely empathetic approach to pupil development.
* Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with pupils, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of responding to diverse classroom needs.
