This dedicated school in the Hertford area of Hertfordshire, South East England, is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN provision. You will be instrumental in supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex needs, facilitating an adapted curriculum, and actively promoting their independence. This rewarding opportunity offers flexible contract options, including Long Term, Daily Supply, Short Term, and Permanent arrangements, with a competitive daily rate of 90 - 115. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to secondary-aged pupils with diverse and complex special educational needs.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to adapt and deliver engaging curriculum content effectively.
* Actively foster pupils' independence, resilience, and self-help skills within the school environment.
* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning atmosphere for all pupils.
* Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide valuable feedback to teachers and other professionals.

* You possess proven experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of complex special educational needs.
* A genuine passion for fostering the development and well-being of young people is essential.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
* The ability to adapt your approach to meet individual pupil requirements is crucial.
* You are an excellent communicator, capable of building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
