About the Role

A forward-thinking secondary school in Corby, Northamptonshire, is actively seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their supportive team. This challenging and rewarding role involves overseeing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their learning objectives. You will play a crucial part in maintaining a positive and productive educational environment, with a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160 offered for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a respectful and conducive learning atmosphere.
* Deliver pre-set work to students across various secondary subjects, ensuring tasks are understood and completed.
* Support students in their learning, responding to questions and providing appropriate guidance.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any notable incidents during lessons.
* Liaise effectively with teaching staff and senior leadership regarding student progress and welfare.
* Uphold the school's high standards of teaching and learning at all times.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting the education and development of young people.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with students and staff.
* Exhibit strong classroom management abilities, maintaining discipline and engagement.
* Be highly adaptable and resilient, thriving in a dynamic and varied school environment.
* Hold relevant experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally in an educational setting.
* Show initiative and confidence in supervising groups of students independently.
