About the Role
Discover a fulfilling opportunity within a exceptional school seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant. This pivotal role involves providing bespoke, focused assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs, ensuring their full access to the curriculum. You will be instrumental in fostering their independence and developing essential life skills, guided by their individual EHCP targets. This position offers long-term engagement, with potential for daily supply or permanent contract options, and an immediate start is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, individualised support to a secondary pupil.
* Implement strategies to meet specific EHCP targets effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement with and access to the school curriculum.
* Nurture and develop the pupil's self-reliance and independence.
* Assist in the acquisition and practice of crucial life skills.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to ensure holistic pupil progress.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
* Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with complex needs, is essential.
* A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their implementation is required.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in your approach.
* Your communication skills are outstanding, allowing effective collaboration with all stakeholders.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
