This vital SEN Support role focuses on offering specialist assistance to young learners on the autism spectrum within a dedicated provision. You will be instrumental in implementing structured routines, effective sensory strategies, and comprehensive communication support. We are looking for an individual available for various contract types, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, or permanent positions, starting as soon as possible, with a competitive daily rate of £90 to £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted specialist support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum.
* Implement structured routines and consistent behavioural strategies effectively.
* Utilise a range of effective sensory strategies to support pupil engagement.
* Facilitate and enhance communication skills through various tailored approaches.
* Assist with the adaptation of learning materials to meet diverse individual needs.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to support holistic pupil progress.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience working with primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Hold a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of children with SEN.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships.
* Demonstrate a proactive and patient approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour.
* Be adaptable and resilient, thriving within a dynamic and specialist educational environment.
* Hold relevant qualifications or professional development in SEN support; this is highly desirable.
