About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to join an innovative school in Birmingham, West Midlands, as a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant. You will play a crucial role in a specialist provision, supporting secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. This demanding yet highly rewarding position focuses on providing essential behaviour support, fostering emotional regulation, and facilitating pupils' reintegration into their learning journey. We are seeking professionals ready to make an immediate impact, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120. Flexible contract options are available, encompassing Long Term, Daily Supply, Short Term, and Permanent arrangements, with an immediate start desired.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored support to secondary pupils experiencing SEMH challenges within a specialist setting.
* Effectively implement individualised behaviour management plans and positive intervention strategies.
* Guide pupils in developing crucial emotional regulation and coping mechanisms.
* Actively promote and support pupils' successful reintegration into classroom learning and wider school life.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Assist with curriculum access, adapting materials as necessary to meet diverse learning needs.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Demonstrable expertise in effective behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies is essential.
* A compassionate and resilient approach is vital when navigating challenging situations.
* You communicate clearly and empathetically with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* The ability to work proactively and independently, whilst also thriving within a team, is crucial.
