We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join an ambitious school, playing a crucial role in ensuring continuity of learning across various subjects. This vital position involves supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, supporting students in their independent work, and upholding the school's positive ethos. We are open to discussions regarding long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent arrangements, offering a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160 and an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise students undertaking pre-set work during short-term teacher absences.
* Effectively manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
* Promote a positive and productive learning environment for all pupils.
* Address student queries and provide appropriate support to maintain focus.
* Report any issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or progress to the relevant staff members.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students within the classroom at all times.
About You
* You possess prior experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with students and staff.
* You have a proactive and adaptable approach to daily challenges and changing timetables.
* You are capable of maintaining a calm and authoritative presence in the classroom.
* You are committed to supporting student learning and upholding school values.
* You can work effectively both independently and as part of a wider school team.
