SEN Teaching Assistant

Join a flourishing primary SEN school dedicated to providing exceptional support for children with complex learning needs. This dynamic role offers the chance to make a significant difference, working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils across the primary phase. You will be instrumental in supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), addressing challenges such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. We are open to various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with diverse learning needs.
* Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for individual students.
* Support children presenting with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and other specialists to enhance pupil progress.
* Adapt resources and activities to meet specific developmental and educational goals.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
* Demonstrate previous experience working with primary-aged pupils with EHCPs.
* Have an understanding of conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils and staff.
* Be a patient, resilient, and empathetic individual committed to making a difference.
* Show a proactive and flexible approach, eager to contribute positively to a dedicated team.
