About the Role

A supportive school is actively seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join its team, ensuring the seamless continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. This pivotal role involves overseeing classes during short-term teacher absences, effectively delivering pre-prepared work, and fostering an engaging educational experience for students across various subjects. Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes confidently in the short-term absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons clearly and ensure all students remain focused on their tasks.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, actively promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Respond thoughtfully to student queries, offering appropriate guidance and support where needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any significant behavioural incidents.
• Uphold the school's comprehensive policies and established procedures consistently.

About You
• Possess excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to connect with students and staff.
• Demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies, fostering a calm and productive atmosphere.
• Be highly organised, proactive, and exceptionally reliable in all aspects of your work.
• Show a genuine passion for supporting student learning and their overall development.
• Have prior experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
• Be highly adaptable and able to quickly establish positive rapport with a diverse range of students.
