A dedicated school in Berkshire, providing specialist secondary support, is seeking an exceptional SEMH Teacher to enhance its committed team. This pivotal role involves inspiring disaffected learners, adeptly managing complex behaviour, and delivering a modified curriculum designed to foster academic and personal growth. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term engagements, daily supply, or permanent roles, with a daily remuneration between £150 and £250, available for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging lessons across a modified curriculum tailored for SEMH learners.
* Implement effective strategies to manage challenging behaviours positively and proactively.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and progress.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to provide holistic support.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
* Contribute to the broader school community, championing the success of every student.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at MPS or UPS level, with relevant experience in secondary education.
* Possess demonstrable experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Exhibit exceptional behaviour management skills, coupled with a patient and understanding approach.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for making a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.
* Are highly adaptable, resilient, and resourceful in diverse classroom settings.
* Committed to continuous professional development and contributing positively to a team.
