We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a inclusive school that champions every child's potential. This vital role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, fostering a nurturing and structured learning environment. You will be instrumental in building therapeutic relationships, effectively managing challenging behaviour, and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire academic and personal growth. Opportunities are available for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, offering a competitive daily rate of £150 - £250, with an immediate start for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and tailored lessons for primary SEMH pupils, adapting to diverse learning styles.
* Develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with children, promoting trust and emotional regulation.
* Implement effective strategies for managing challenging behaviour, creating a positive classroom atmosphere.
* Contribute to the creation and review of individualised learning plans, monitoring pupil progress diligently.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and understood.
* Collaborate closely with support staff, parents, and wider pastoral teams to ensure holistic pupil development.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
* You have proven experience working with primary-aged pupils exhibiting SEMH needs.
* You demonstrate a strong understanding and application of positive behaviour management techniques.
* You are adept at differentiating lessons to effectively meet diverse learning requirements.
* You approach teaching with a compassionate, patient, and resilient demeanour.
