About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join an exceptional school in Central London, providing vital assistance to secondary students. This pivotal role involves delivering tailored support to young people on the autism spectrum within a specialist setting. You will be instrumental in facilitating effective social communication, expertly managing sensory needs, and ensuring seamless access to the curriculum for every student. This is an incredible opportunity to make a profound difference in young people's educational journeys, offering a range of flexible contract options including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or even a permanent placement for the right candidate, with a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised support to secondary students on the autism spectrum.
* Implement effective strategies to facilitate the development of social communication skills.
* Proactively manage and respond to students' diverse sensory needs within the learning environment.
* Assist students in accessing and understanding the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.

* You possess demonstrable experience supporting students on the autism spectrum, ideally within a secondary school environment.
* You have a clear understanding of best practices within a specialist ASD educational setting.
