We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated school within the Wokingham area. This pivotal role offers the chance to make a profound difference to primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs, supporting their learning journey and fostering an inclusive classroom environment. We are looking for individuals available for immediate starts, with flexible contract options including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, offering a competitive daily rate of £95 - £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging educational activities.
* Promote a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere for all children.
* Support pupils in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills.
* Help manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
* Contribute to the assessment and progress monitoring of individual pupils.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
* You have previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within an SEN capacity.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils and staff.
* You are patient, resilient, and adaptable to various classroom situations.
* You hold a relevant qualification or have practical experience in supporting learning.
* You are committed to promoting an inclusive and supportive educational setting.
