About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join an innovative school environment in Buckinghamshire. This crucial role involves providing bespoke assistance to a secondary pupil navigating complex learning needs. You will be instrumental in fostering their academic engagement and personal development, working closely to implement EHCP targets, facilitate curriculum access, and promote vital independence and life skills. The position offers a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110 and a flexible start, including immediate opportunities for long-term engagement, daily supply, and even permanent contracts, tailored to the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver highly individualised 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Successfully implement specific targets outlined within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan.
* Actively support the pupil in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Proactively promote the development of independence, communication, and essential life skills.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support system.
* Maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and provide regular, insightful feedback.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with complex SEN, particularly within a secondary phase.
* A strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application in a school setting is essential.
* You exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
* Excellent communication skills allow you to build rapport and effectively convey information.
* You are adept at adapting support strategies to meet diverse and evolving individual needs.
