This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive school for a long-term, permanent contract starting in September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons across the Science curriculum to secondary pupils, inspiring a passion for discovery and understanding. This position welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver dynamic Science lessons to secondary students across various key stages.
* Assess and monitor pupil progress effectively, providing timely and constructive feedback.
* Foster a stimulating, inclusive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Contribute actively to the development of departmental schemes of work and learning resources.
* Participate fully in wider school activities and professional development opportunities.
* Maintain consistently high standards of pupil behaviour and academic achievement.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* You hold a strong academic background in Science; all specialisms are warmly encouraged to apply.
* You demonstrate an exceptional ability to inspire and motivate secondary pupils.
* You have excellent classroom management skills and clear communication abilities.
* You are committed to continuous professional development and collaborative team working.
* You exhibit genuine enthusiasm for promoting a love of Science among young learners.
